BC GROWING COMMUNITIES RESERVE FUND BYLAW NO. 1037, 2023

A Bylaw of the Town of Princeton to establish the “BC Growing Communities Reserve Fund”.

WHEREAS section 188 of the Community Charter authorizes Council to establish, by bylaw, reserve funds for a specified purpose and direct that money be placed to the credit of the reserve fund;

AND WHEREAS Council deems it desirable to establish a reserve fund for the purpose of funding eligible expenses;

AND WHEREAS by resolution on March 6, 2023, council dedicated the BC Growing Communities Fund to the construction of a new firehall, emergency operations centre and training centre;

NOW THEREFORE the council of the Town of Princeton in open meeting assembled,

ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:

1. That a reserve fund, entitled the “BC Growing Communities Reserve Fund” is

hereby established to fund eligible expenses associated with the construction of the new firehall, emergency operations centre and training centre.

2. That all money held by the Town of Princeton at the time of the adoption of this

bylaw from the transfer of the money from the Province of British Columbia to the Town of Princeton be placed in the reserve fund.

That this bylaw may be cited for all purposes as “Town of Princeton BC Growing Communities Reserve Fund Bylaw No. 1037, 2023.”
